i wanted to start my old page over again because most of the photos on it are years old. however, i didn't want them to go away because i am so attached to them. they are my beginning. they were my inspiration to go to art school to become a better artist. art school ruined it for me. i became bitter, uninspired and robotic. i left my camera behind and went on to the "real" world only to find that photography kept me alive. it actually keeps my heart beating.

after three, very (and i mean VERY) hard years of going back and forth between what i wanted and what i needed (and didn't need), i landed a job as a portrait photographer for sears. ok, all "serious" photographers (who i think are ignorant asses) are laughing and going "that's not a real photography job". let me first start out by saying it's not as easy as it looks, folks. it's exhausting. and no, i don't get to shoot subjects that i choose. i do, however, get the creative freedom of telling them how to pose, which backgrounds would look best and the final edited product. it's not ideal and it certainly isn't my favorite subject matter but somehow i ended up behind a camera again.

which brings me to my point. i have been inspired to start a new photography chapter. i hope everyone will enjoy the new photos i submit and that this page can be a showcase of the progress i am making as an artist.
